Usability testing started early in the process of creating this book, and continued right to the final revision. Quite a large number of people made contributions in this area, either early or late in the process, or throughout. We hope we haven't missed anyone below (if we have, please let us know so that we can correct our oversight in the next version):
Kursat Cagiltay, BenLing Cai, Randy J. Siebold, and Todd Zazelenchuk deserve special mention for their formal usability study of the near-final product. The participants in the OLIN workshop in St. John's Newfoundland, and the staff of the Christchurch (NZ) College of Education (especially the Principal, Dr. Ian Hall) deserve special thanks. Many others -- too many to name, even if we knew them all -- used portions of this book in a number of classes and workshops that we gave while this book was in progress. Numerous helpful suggestions came out of those trials by fire, and we thank those learners for their contributions. |
