The dwarf sour cherry is a creation of  the University of Saskatchewan. The result of years of breeding, the cultivars have been developed for the prairie climate and are suitable for commercial production. About the Authors

Bob Bors, an assistant professor of plant sciences at the University of Saskatchewan, is a specialist in fruit crops. He has a strong interest in breeding, tissue culture, crop management, and extension and collaborates with growers in seven provinces. He teaches fruit science, plant propagation, greenhouse management, and general horticulture.

Linda Matthews holds a degree in horticulture and works as a research technician in the Fruit Breeding and Research Program at the University of Saskatchewan. She is currently working on the value-added aspects of cherry processing as well as teaching in the U of S Master Gardener Program and Prairie Horticulture Certificate Program.
